On October 31st, IRI and OGP will host a Hybrid pre-summit event gathering civil society organizations (CSOs) from Jordan, Morocco, and Tunisia. The event will be at Adam Park Hotel in Marrakech, Morroco and it will an opportunity to engage in a discussion on how civil society can better engage in citizen participation. CSOs will also share their experiences while also learning from their peers across the three countries. In addition, IRI will share further insights regarding the MENA Open Government CSO Network and plans for 2023. IRI will highlight the importance of citizen participation as part of the OGP priorities and will give the space to CSOs to share successes or challenges as well as strategies they have used to engage citizens in citizen participation without clear government engagement. The event will be in Arabic. |

One of the objectives of the regional event is to promote networking and peer learning within the OGP community. The CSO dinner is an opportunity for CSOs participants to get to know each other and engage in informal discussions. The reception will take place on October 31st at the Palm Plaza Hotel at 7pm. To attend, please register to confirm your participation. La promotion du réseautage et de l’apprentissage par les pairs au sein de la communauté du PGO est l’un des objectifs de l’événement régional. Le dîner des OSC est l’occasion pour les participants OSC de faire connaissance et de s’engager dans des échanges informels. La réception aura lieu le 31 octobre à l’hôtel Palm Plaza à 19h. Un dîner de lancement au cours duquel une lecture de la charte du Réseau ainsi que les grandes lignes de son plan d’action est faite aux participants et à la presse. La presse pourra ensuite procéder à des interviews. Ce dîner est aussi l’occasion donnée au membres du RAFGO et à tous les participants de faire du networking. En rappel, le RAFGO compte aujourd’hui une soixantaine d’organisations réparties dans 16 pays francophones. Une trentaine de Membres du réseau seront présents à Marrakech. A launch dinner during which a reading of the Network’s charter as well as the outline of its action plan is given to participants and the press. The press will then be able to conduct interviews. This dinner is also an opportunity for RAFGO members and all participants to network. As a reminder, RAFGO now has around sixty organizations in 16 French-speaking countries. About thirty Members of the network will be present in Marrakech. |
