Moroccan Head of Government to Welcome Hundreds of Reformers from
Africa and the Middle East to Promote Open Government in the Region

What

As we continue to renew our societies and institutions, many in Africa and the Middle East are still grappling with the devastating socio-economic consequences the pandemic brought. The 2022 OGP Africa and the Middle East Regional Meeting, hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco and the Open Government Partnership, will bring together open government champions from the region to raise collective ambition, energize the community, and generate political support to make governments more transparent, accountable and responsive to citizens.

Hundreds of people – including ministers, heads of local governments, parliamentarians, activists, civil society advocates, and researchers – will come together to discuss ways to leverage open government approaches to strengthen public service delivery in the region through anti-corruption, digital innovation, access to justice, and civic participation.
